A central controller (35) includes a protocol coordination mechanism (45) which compares attributes of different protocols supported by adaptors (21a-21g) when establishing communication session between networks (21,23,25,27,29,31,33). The central controller is provided to establish communication session between the networks which employ different protocols used in establishing communication session with the central controller. Each adaptor is included in each network to translate one protocol to another protocol not compatible to each other. Independent claims are included for the following: (a) a communication system for establishing communication between networks employing incompatible communication protocols; (b) and a method for establishing communication between networks employing incompatible communication protocols. |
