<p>Gallic acid ester derivatives prepared by substituting one or more hydrogen atoms of the hydroxyl groups of polyhydroxy compounds by galloyl. These compounds are efficacious in treating enteric infections with bacteria of biotoxin type typified by toxigenic Escherichia coli, salmonellas, pathogenic vibrios (Vibrio cholerae, V. parahaemolyticus), Shigella and campylobacters.</p> |
