Novel bridged perinone, quinonaphthalone and perinone-quinonaphthalone derivatives Novel bridged perinone, quinonaphthalone and perinone-quinonaphthalone derivatives are of formula (I): Ar1 and Ar2 = carbocyclic aromatic groups; B = group bonded to an aromatic C of Ar1 and Ar2; X1 and X2 = group of formula (1a), (1b) or (ii) with CO or NC groups neighboring C=C double bonds; Y = benzene or naphthalene optionally substituted by halogen, COOH, COOR or 1-6C alkyl; R = 1-10C alkyl, 8-10C aryl or 5-8C cycloalkyl; Z = o-phenylene, o-napthylene, p-(1,8)-naphthylene or arylene optionally o- or p-substituted by 1-6C alkyl, halogen, nitro, aryl, aryloxysulfonyl, OH, 1-6C alkoxy, aryloxy, optionally alkyl or acyl substituted amino, optionally alkyl or aryl substituted aminosulfonyl or condensed cycloaliphatic or heterocyclic ring; Ra = H or OH; Rb = - H, F, Cl or Br.
