Method for the preparation of coagulants for clarifying water, in which, to a solution of an inorganic water clarifying coagulant, maintained at a temperature between 25 degrees Celsius and 80 degrees Celsius, one adds at least one cationic polymer soluble in water, obtained from vinylic monomer(s), in a quantity between 0.1 percent and 10 percent of the total weight of the final product, agitating the solution for at least 15 minutes and at a temperature higher than ambient temperature, followed by cooling and filtering.
