Accessory device for calling and signalling system, e.g. in hospital or nursing home

The accessory device comprises at least one optically or acoustically operating indicator and at least one triggering unit placed in the room. The triggering unit has an integral time interval generator for activating the indicator. After the set period of time the hospital personnel is reminded about the call and upon acceptance of the call the personnel sets the timer again into an active state. The timer is connected to the indicator via a two-pin plug, esp. when mounted on the wall, and a cable, esp. when indicator needs to be mobile, e.g. hung on the bed or chair. The triggering unit can set additional functions, e.g. switch the light on, turn the radio or TV on, incline/decline the bed headrest, draw/open curtains or blinds, etc. For the latter a multi-pin connection is needed. The timer can be operated mechanically, e.g. by a spring, or electrically, from the battery or signalling system supply.
