The described transferring device operates on a machine (2) for producing optical discs (3) comprising several different work stations (7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12) each arranged to carry out a given operation on the discs being processed. The device (1) performs a sequential transfer of each disc (3) between the different work stations (7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12) following a path comprising two parallel advance lines, one forward advance line (n) and one backward advance line (n') respectively, which are disposed laterally on opposite sides relative to the longitudinal extension axis of a support arm (14) being part of the device (1).
