PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily cope with presentation, addition, and alteration of media information and an encoding system on a reception side by providing an encoding system which corresponds to objects to be encoded that constitute media information and reception-side software for encoded data, and multiplexing additional information, the reception-side software, and the encoded data. SOLUTION: An encoding system indication 108 is inputted to an encoding system control part 9, which indicates an encoding system that each encoding part uses to a video encoding part 1 with video encoding system control information. The encoding system control part 9 indicates decoding S/W to be distributed to a decoding S/W management part 7 with S/W transfer control information 109. The decoding S/W management part 7 outputs specified decoding S/W, a multiplexing part 4 outputs those pieces of information as a multiplexed bit sequence 106, and a transmission encoding part 5 performs encoding corresponding to a transmission line to generate a transmit signal 107. |
