PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable chip parts to be easily and well aligned so as to make their fronts or rears face in the same direction by a method wherein a chip part taken into a part outlet path is made to pivot around its lengthwise center line as an axis to be aligned so as to align its front face or rear face in the prescribed direction. SOLUTION: The rear or front of a chip part P is detected by a front/rear detection reflective optical sensor 17 with a light projection section which confronts a detection hole 16a3 in a reference state. In detail, when the surface of the chip part P confronting the detection hole 16a3 is black (front), a rotary disk 16a is rotated in a counterclockwise direction from a view point above the disk 16a by an angle of 90 deg. by a motor, whereby the inner path 16a1 of the rotary disk 16a is aligned with the inner hole of a second outlet pipe 6. By this setup, a chip part P contained in the inner path 16a1 of the rotary disk 16a is made to pivot in a counterclockwise direction by an angle of 90 deg. around a center line as an axis in a lengthwise direction and taken into the inner hole of the second outlet pipe 6 making its front face forward. |
