PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of a transmitting image by relieving the degrading degree of the brightness of a fluorescent lamp, and preventing a concentration change from being generated in a short time, which is generated when it is used, for example, as a reading light source for a facsimile machine. SOLUTION: This fluorescent lamp 1 is formed, so that a radiating plate 6 which is fitted to the outer diameter of a glass bulb 2 with a plate-shaped member, having appropriate thermal conductivity and spring properties may be fitted by spring properties, and whose cross-section not covering its opening part is formed into a roughly C-shape as a length roughly equivalent to the overall length of the glass bulb 2. It is thus possible to relieve temperature rising, which is generated at the glass bulb 2, by heating caused by discharging at the time of lighting, by means of the radiating action of the radiating plate 6. |
