SKIN LIGHTENING COMPOSITIONS

Topical compositions containing tocopherol sorbate which are useful for lightening skin are disclosed. Preferred compositions further contain an anti-inflammatory agent, an anti-oxidant/radical scavenger (preferably magnesium ascorbyl phosphate), and a retinoid. Preferred carriers include a long chain fatty alcohol and a polyethylene glycol ether thereof.
