PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a substrate glass product suitable for plasma display panels, having a higher strain point and lower expandability as compared with general soda lime plate glass, by making the product contain each specific amount of SiO2 , Al2 O3 , Na2 O, K2 O, MgO, CaO, BaO, ZrO2 , Sb2 O3 and SO3 . SOLUTION: This substrate glass product for plasma display panels contains 56.0 to 63wt.% SiO2 , 1.0 to 5.0wt.% Al2 O3 , 3.0 to 7.0wt.% Na2 O, 3.0 to 8.0wt.% K2 O, 3.0 to 5.0wt.% MgO, 4.0 to 8.0wt.% CaO and 0.3 to 0.5wt.% Sb2 O3 plus SO3 . The glass product has the following characteristics: strain point of 580 to 610 deg.C; transition point of >=610 deg.C; thermal expansion coefficient of 80 to 87×10<-7> / deg.C at 30 to 35 deg.C; viscosity of 10,000P at forming temperature of <=1200 deg.C; and liquid phase temperature of <=1100 deg.C.
