Regulating method for inking when printing with several colours

The method for regulating the inking is carried out using a photoelectric measuring system, with which actual colour measurement values are obtained from the printed image and the actual values are compared with specified desired colour measuring values. The comparison signals are supplied to a colour adjusting unit, which controls the layer thickness of the printing colour to be applied on a print material. Continuous monitoring signals are derived at selected measuring places (8). So that if the monitoring signals exceed a specified threshold value (Cmin, Cmax), the number of measuring places (8) is increased, and that the actual colour measuring values obtained at the increased number (N2) of measuring places (8) are processed to provided comparison signals.
