A frame (2) for a solar collector panel is made with an S-shaped profile of approx. rectangular overall shape. The upper part (3) of the S receives the plate-like solar panel (1), while the lower thicker half of the S (4) forms the lower part of the structure. The centre (6) and lower sections (7) of the S are linked by a cross-piece (5). The lower supporting section (7) extends to a clamping zone (8) which is thicker than that of the cross-piece (7). the clamping zone (8) incorporates screw passages (9) by means of which the frame (2) is locked to an interlinking board (4). The depth of the upper section of the frame (h{SYMBOL 218 /f "Symbol"}1) is the same as the depth of the opening (h{SYMBOL 218 /f "Symbol"}2) in the lower section (4).
