A ski comprises a metal skeleton frame and a plastic body the metal frame in a lateral oross-sectional configuration representing the appearance of two Y or T section members with the stems of the two Y or T section members directed towards each other and one finger of each Y or T section member directed towards the running edge and the other finger towards the upper edge, said plastic body being bonded to said metal frame and encompassing part of said frame, a metal skeleton frame of U configuration may also be used the legs being downwardly directed towards the running edges of the ski. Polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride may be used as the plastic material. Figs. 2, 22 and 25 shows U, Y and T configurations respectively. |
