PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish comfortable sock feeling in a shift time and sufficient shift responsiveness complying with an intention of a driver having a liking for a sporty feeling. SOLUTION: This controller s provided with a shift device 10 y, in which manual shift mode for manually performing directed shift can be set and a shift step selecting operation is carried out by means of a shift lever 1 in manual shift, and in the shift in the manual shift mode, an engaging oil pressure of a friction engaging device is controlled. In this case, the controller is constructed of shift speed detection means 2 detecting an operation speed of the shift lever 1 by a driver in the manual shift mode, engaging speed computing means 3 computing an engaging speed of the frictional engaging element from the start to the end of shift in compliance with the detected shift lever operation speed, and oil pressure controlling means 4 controlling an oil pressure working on the friction engaging element for achieving the computed engaging speed. |
