PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the contrast and display quality of a display screen by scattering reflected light from a 3rd interface by a roughened surface. SOLUTION: A light is made incident on a high-refractive-index layer 12 and a low-refractive-index layer 14 and reflected by the 1st interface between air and the high-refractive-index layer 12 and the 2nd interface between the high-refractive-index layer 12 and low-refractive-index layer 14 to generate reflected light 24. The optical film thickness of the 1st high-refractive-index layer 12 and low-refractive-index layer 14 are so set that the reflected light 24 generated by the 1st interface and the reflected light 24 generated by the 2nd interface have a phase difference which is 1/2 as large as the wavelength, so those reflected lights 24 optically interfaces with each other to attenuate. Further, the roughened surface 18 which scatters and reflects the incident light 22 made incident on the low-refractive-index layer 14 in contact with a hard coating layer 16 is formed on the 3rd interface between the low-refractive-index layer 14 and hard coating layer 16. This optical interference effect is used to reduce the reflection of circumferential light (external light) on the display screen of a display device. |
