PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a single driving source to perform both contact movement and follow-up movement of a pair of sealing jaws in a bag-making and packaging machine constituted to bring the pair of sealing jaws in contact for laterally sealing a packaging material and causing the sealing jaws to follow along a transfer direction of the packaging material together with the material in the laterally sealed state. SOLUTION: The bag-making and packaging machine converts rotation of a motor 25 by a cam mechanism comprising a circular cam plate 25 and an arm 33 into linear reciprocation in a direction along a transfer path of a packaging material, and transmits the reciprocation to be block 30, and it similarly converts rotation of the motor 25 via vertically long cam plates 5, 50 into linear reciprocation in a direction orthogonal to the transfer path of the packaging material and transmit the reciprocation to blocks 37, 38 for supporting sealing jaws 41, 42. The blocks 37, 38 are supported by the block 30, whereby driving of a single motor 25 allows the sealing jaws to perform rising/lowering movement and contact movement. |
