<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a portable information terminal from malfunctioning due to an erroneous input even when dirt is wiped off the surface of a touch panel with respect to a portable information terminal with a touch panel covering the whole surface of a display device as a main inputting device. SOLUTION: When a user pushes the 'input temporary stop button' position of a touch panel 2, and an A/D converter 3 measures the coordinate of this button position, and outputs it to a controller 4, the controller 4 does not output a conversion command to the A/D converter 3 until a timer A measures 30 seconds and then a timer B measures 3 seconds, and an inputting function from the touch panel 2 is stopped. Thus, even when the surface of the touch panel 2 becomes dirty, and the surface of the touch panel 2 is wiped, the portable information terminal is prevented from malfunctioning due to an erroneous input to the controller 4.</p> |
