In the case of an exercise apparatus, in particular, an exercise unit for conditioning, developing and strenghthening the muscles and tendons of the hand, wrist and forearm, the exercise unit having an inside frame grip roller and top plate assembly, vertically operable with a wide variety of added weight through an outside frame and palm support assembly, affixed to a base and weight alignment post assembly, the entire inside frame assembly being operable either by gripping in numerous configurations the grip roller assembly with the fingers while the palm is positioned on the palm support or with the thumb while the fingers are positioned on the palm support and squeezing upward towards the palm support.
