PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silica-compounded, vulcanizable rubber composition improved in processability and capable of giving vulcanized products reduced in hardness at low temperatures, enhanced in performances for ice and snow, and improved in abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: This silica-compounded, vulcanizable rubber composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of a dienic rubber having a Tg of -45 deg.C, 5-60 pts.wt. of silica, 10-60 pts.wt. of carbon black having a nitrogen specific surface area (N2 SA) of >=70m<2> /g, and a 24M4DBP oil absorption of >=70ml/100g, and a polysiloxane in an amount of 1-40wt.% based on the amount of the compounded silica. The polysiloxane has an average polymerization degree of 3-10,000, and contains alkoxysilyl groups of formula I:≡Si-OR<1> (R<1> is a 1-18C substituted or nonsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group or ether bond-containing organic group) or acryloxysilyl groups of formula II:≡Si-OCOR<2> (R<2> is hydrogen or a 1-21C hydrocarbon group) so that six or more alkoxy groups or two or more acyloxy groups directly bound to the Si atom are contained.
