PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the air pressure in the connecting section of a terminal connector with another terminal connector by sufficiently evacuating the section by forming a cable terminating tool to have a longitudinal groove having a U- or W-shaped cross section. SOLUTION: A cable terminating tool 11 is constituted in a string-like body having an air flow passage 11a composed of a longitudinal groove having a U-shaped cross section. When a terminal connector 1 is engaged with another connector 3 by hanging down the tool 11 inside the inner rubber insulator 4 of the connector 1 and inserting the resin insulator 5 of the connector 4 into the inner rubber insulator 4 of the connector 1, the air in the engaged section leaks out of the engaged section through the deformed passage 11a. When the tool 11 is slowly extracted after a bushing 7 installed to the resin insulator 5 is airtightly put in a ring-like groove 8a provided in an outer rubber insulator 8, the air pressure in the engaged section is further lowered. Therefore, the electrical performance of the engaged section between the connectors 1 and 3 can be improved, because the section is sufficiently evacuated to a low air pressure.
