Between the end surfaces of two existing, spaced, spatially displaced pipe flanges (10, 12), a joint flange pipe is to be installed, which joint flange pipe is to be attached to said pipe flanges (10, 12) through bolt connections. The mutual distance and spatial orientation are desired to be transferred to a three-dimensionally adjustable and in adjusted position lockable gauge device (22, 24, 24', 24'', 22'), so that the device can be moved to an environment where the flanges of said joint flange pipe can be welded to a piece of pipe, forming a dimensionally and shape-correct joint flange pipe for installing between and bolting to said pipe flanges (10, 12). The gauge device (22, 24, 24', 24'', 22') is provided with three or more individually longitudinally adjustable struts (24, 24', 24'') connected to each end piece/coupling flange (22, 22') with bolt holes through universal joints (40). |
