<p>This invention is a golf club (1) with a club head (14) having a front ball striking face (28), top (26), and bottom (22) walls. The striking face has a configuration which gradually narrows downwardly to form a relatively blunt lower apex (64) on the perimeter of the face. The bottom wall surface extends rearwardly and upwardly from the lower edge of the striking face toward the top wall surface. The striking face configuration and the bottom wall surface configuration substantially reduce turf contact, and drag resistance on both back and forward swings.</p> |
