PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire external information as auditory information entering from an ear also during a driving operation by a method wherein road traffic information which is received from a road-traffic information system (ATIS) center or the like is changed into voice data so as to be output as a synthesized voice. SOLUTION: A communication interface 21 which is connected to an ATIS center 20 via a mobile circuit is connected to a CPU 6. Information-processing software by which, out of received road-traffic information, information on a present position, i.e., an own-vehicle posiiton, and information on a point near the position are changed into voice data is built in the CPU 6. In addition, a voice synthesis circuit 22 which converts the voice data into a synthesized voice so as to be output is built in the CPU 6, and the synthesized voice is output to a vehicle room via a loudspeaker 23. In this manner, the road-traffic information on a traffic jam, on an accident, on a construction operation or on whether a parking lot is full or empty is reported accurately by the synthesized voice, and a driver can acquire the road-traffic information through the sense of hearing while a visual nerve is being concentrated so as to confirm safety at the front. |
