<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breaker easy for assembling, suitable for the miniaturization and reduced in the number of components, for a reel base braker applying the specified braking force to a supply reel base and a take-up reel base on a magnetic recording/reproducing device in accordance with the operation mode. SOLUTION: In lower side of both of the reel bases 6, 7 whereon annular carved grooves 6a, 7a are formed at the lower faces, a pair of main brake shoes 18a, 18b, each one end of which is fixed to a sliding lever 1 arranged so as reversibly movable for sliding between a 1st and 2nd positions and each another end is abutted on the outer peripheral wall of both of the carved grooves 6a, 7a to apply the 1st braking force to both of the reel bases when the sliding lever 1 is positioned at the 1st position, and a pair of soft brake shoes 19a, 19b respectively abutting on the inner peripheral wall of the carved grooves 6a, 7a of both of the reels to apply the 2nd braking force to both of the reel bases when the sliding lever 1 is positioned at the 2nd position, are respectively provided.</p> |
