<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable selecting an optimum selection item for a touch position and improve operation capability by calculating the difference of coordinates of a plurality of selection items and the touch positions and selecting the minimum selection items of calculated coordinates difference. SOLUTION: If a periphery reference key is operated, for example, facility selection items are indicated on the screen. Among these selection items, if a specific type, for example convenience stores is selected, then corresponding landmarks are indicated on the map. Here, by operating a touch switch and detecting touch position (reaction point) coordinates, a square region with the touch position coordinates in the center is set up. At this moment, if the landmark coordinates are stored with a longitude and latitude coordinates system, the touch position coordinates are converted to the longitude and latitude coordinates system in the map. Then, if there are landmarks in the square region, coordinates difference between obtained each landmark coordinates and the touch position coordinates is calculated, a landmark with minimum coordinates difference is selected and indicated in the center of the screen.</p> |
