<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic clutch which can prevent oil leaked from a shaft seal from reaching a connection surface between an armature and a rotor and reduce abnormal noises at the time of attracting the armature. SOLUTION: A back cover 28 arranged on a side end 26 of an armature 15 has a form of a hood 30 having a slit-like opening at its portion to cover an arcuate long hole of the armature, and is in a penetration state with the long hole 24. It is thus possible to prevent excessive compression of air generated at the attracting time of the armature, suppress shock wave generated at the discharging of air, and reduce generation of abnormal noises at the time of attracting. Oil leaked from a shaft seal part 27 of a compressor is overflown and introduced onto the back cover 28 of the armature 15. The oil dropped onto the back cover 28 of the armature is discharged by means of the hool-like portion 30 of the back cover without entering the arcuate long hole and reaching the clutch connection surface.</p> |
