A television receiver wherein original video signals can be prevented from being hidden as a result of program guide displaying. For this purpose, a user can set a mode for displaying the program guide by using such setting means that a mode using two-split-screen display for displaying only the program guide on one screen and displaying the original video signals on the other screen, and a mode for displaying the program guide and the original video signals in an overlapping manner can be selected. |
