An ester compound represented by the formula wherein R1 and R2 may be the same or different and each represent a C1-C6 alkyl group, or other specified groups, which may be optionally substituted with one or more halogen atoms; and R3 represents a pyrethroid acid residue (a group resulting from elimination of the carboxyl group from pyrethroid acid), and a pesticidal composition containing the ester compound as an active ingredient.
