Video signal transfer system

The system has measurement devices arranged in the signal transfer paths. There is also a computerized visual display controller for signal monitoring and error location. The controller selects program related signals, especially video and audio signals, at defined points along the transfer path, for the measurement devices. These signals are then evaluated according to defined limit values, to trace the signal paths from output to input of the transfer path. If signal value limits are exceeded to a defined extent, a channel change is performed.
