A valve assembly (10) including valve portion including a bore (44), a spool (46) received within the bore (44) and configured for axial movement along the longitudinal axis (A-A) between an open position in which fluid flow through the bore (44) is permitted and a closed position in which fluid flow through the bore (44) is prevented. An impellor (60) is coupled to the spool (46) and configured to rotate the spool (46) about the longitudinal axis (A-A).
