<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce breakage resistance of a holding part of a bat and reinforce impact resistance of a trunk part by providing one or more continuous layers of reinforced fiber sleeves which increase the width of the outside dimension of the wooden core to the same finishing dimension of the reinforced wooden bat as the standard-size wooden bat outside dimension. SOLUTION: A reinforced bat 10 contains a wooden core 12 and a synthetic thin- layer laminated article 14. The synthetic thin-layer laminated article 14 is formed of one or more continuous unintermittent layer of registrated fabric sleeves which substantially cover the whole outer face of the wooden core 12 and the knitted sleeve is impregnated with resin which combines, laminates, and hardens the reinforcing layer on the outer surface of the wooden core 12. The wooden core 12 which is formed by the conventional manufacture method for a wooden bat is provided with a wooden core holding part, a wooden core trunk part, and a wooden core knot part in the end of the holding part and formed into the outside dimension a little smaller than the conventional wooden bat outside dimension. When the synthetic thin-layer laminated article 14 is combined with the wooden core 12, the outside dimension of the completed reinforced bat 10 is the same as that of the conventional standard-size wooden bat.</p> |
