Mechanism permitting easy interchange of rollers in calender stack

The calender or machine with a stack of rollers has at least one roller with journals (5) which are set in a bearing holder (7) in the machine's frame. A rail (9) is attached to the bearing holder to enable a roller from the stack (2, 3, 4) to be rolled out on it. Preferably the roll-out rail (9) is made from several parts (8, 10, 11) connected by joints. There is a limit device (14, 15) which prevents the rail parts from moving into an extended position and a stop (19) can be fixed at right angles to the rail's running track (18).
