PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve a function matching an inputted request sentence in terms of semantics and easily execute the retrieved function. SOLUTION: From a function explanation data base 4 which holds a function explanatory sentence explaining a function and an action script showing a procedure of operation for actualizing the function in each item, a retrieval means 5 retrieves an item corresponding to a request sentence inputted from an input means 1. A script execution means 6 executes the action script corresponding to the retrieved item to execute the retrieved function. The retrieval means 5 performs key word retrieval or retrieval according to the distance between a sentence vector representing the semantics of the request sentence and the sentence vector of the function explanatory sentence in each item in the function explanation data base.
