The ultra violet lamp (1) as used in a solarium is controlled by a time switch (2) which is adjustable between 0-30 seconds by the user and switches off the lamp at the end of the selected time. An electronic calculator and microprocessor (3) is integrated with the time switch (2). The electronic calculator stores the relationship between the working life of the lamp and the ultra violet output for up to 600 hours and also the hours worked by the lamp. For any given exposure time selected by a user a correction time is calculated and the time switch adjusted by the microprocessor. |
