A drawer runner is provided comprising an elongate guide member (1), a bearing assembly (3) supported by and movable along the guide member (1), and a rail member (2) releasably engageable with the bearing assembly (3) to be supported thereby for relative longitudinal movement between the guide and rail members. Normally, the guide member (1) is secured to a carcass of a piece of furniture at a drawer opening, and the rail member (2) is secured to a drawer. Conveniently, the bearing assembly and guide and rail members are made entirely of plastics material. The drawer runner thus provided is low-cost, yet moves as freely and smoothly as more expensive metal runners. <IMAGE> |
