FIELD: commercial use of explosives, applicable in blasting operations in mining industry and construction. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in drilling of boreholes and blast-holes in a ground mass, placement of comparable explosive charges and standard explosive charge in them, filling of the free space of the boreholes with stemming material providing for complete underground explosion, seismic measurements are taken at explosions on the mass surface with determination of the modulus of vector velocity of the mass shift and oscillation period; after explosions the dependence is found for each of the comparable explosions according to the results of measurements, then the relative energy of comparable explosives imparted to the mass is determined with respect to the index of the standard explosive by formula given in the description.
