PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial turf which allows a ball to roll up smoothly and enables the color tone of an artificial turf to be recognized clearly and minimizes the adherence of pigment on the ball. SOLUTION: An artificial turf is formed with a pile 2 which tufts a split yearn in looped shape on a primary base fabric consisting of a flat yarn. In this case, a split yarn 3 is used as the pile 2 where polyamide containing 0.6 to 8 parts weight by weight of 2 to 11μm filler is used as a main material and the width of a trunk 5 is set to about 0.2 to 1.0mm.
