PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vibrate slightly a meniscus to prevent the clogging of a nozzle opening without generating curved scattering caused by a wet nozzle plate. SOLUTION: A device is provided with a temperature sensing means 36 for sensing the temperature of environment and a control means 30 for adjusting the volumes of expansion and shrinkage of a pressure generating chamber generated by a piezoelectric vibrator 21 based on signals from the temperature sensing means 36, and the amplitude of the slight vibration of a meniscus preventing the clogging of a nozzle opening is varied in compliance with the atmospheric temperature, and the wetting of a nozzle plate and the evaporation of an ink solvent at the time of high temperature are prevented, and the meniscus is slightly vibrated without being overcome by high viscosity at the time of low temperature. |
