The anchorage and vertical adjustment of a hollow post for a street light comprises a fixing (1) for anchoring the post (2) into the foundation. The fixing comprises an elongated rigid arm (4) fixed in the foundation. The lower part of the post is inserted in the arm to a certain height with a play (k). The part of the arm engaging the post has at one end a ball joint (5) on which the post is articulated. The screws (R) in the lower part of the post (2G) enabling adjustment of the articulation angle (a) act simultaneously on the post and arm. Their heads are accessible from the outside. The parts where post and arm engage are cylindrical enabling their fitting into each other.
