Modular panel for air conditioning

The panel (10) is designed to be used as ceiling and the lower surface consists of a plaster sheet (12). A fluid suitable for heating or cooling is carried in pipes (16) made from a very strong synthetic material with a coefficient of thermal expansion close to that of plaster. The pipework has entry and exit connections (28) and is shaped to meander over the plaster sheet surface to which it is attached by gluing (30) which uses a base similar to plaster. Insulation (32) comprising aluminium foil and glass wool is fixed to the top of the panel to ensure that heat flow is always through the lower plaster surface.
