A reduced amplitude corrugated web spar for use in airplane wings and the like is disclosed. The amplitude of the corrugation is determined based upon gen eral stability requirements of the spar, and the fasteners are offset from the center line of the web corrugations. The resulting spar is easier to manufacture and still prov ides the structural integrity required of the wings.
