Apparatus for dispensing high viscosity material such as fondant comprises a container (12) having an outlet (14) through which material in the container (12) can be dispensed and vibrating means (16) to cause agitation of the material in the container (12) by vibrating a rigid portion (18) of the container (12) adjacent to the outlet (14) whereby the material in the container (12) becomes sufficiently fluid to flow through the outlet.
