摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive not so much effect of variations in the friction factor of a brake pad by improving a response time in compensation of compliance. SOLUTION: A hydraulic brake system for braking a car wheel is provided with a hydraulic source 10, a pump 20 being connected to this hydraulic source 10, and two connectors 25 and 26 whose each one end is connected to this pump, respectively. Each of brake pads 34 and 36 is moved together with a brake disk 30 whenever it is pressed by this disk 30. A wedged and movable pressure increasing part 40 increases the extent of pressure in a wheel cylinder 24 when the brake pad part 34 is moved together with the brake disk 30, and thereby a compliance characteristic in the brake system is compensated, so a response time in the brake system is well improved. The pump 20 is controlled by a computer 16 so as to make hydraulic pressure be maintained to the target value even if each friction factor of these brake pads 34 and 36 is varied to some extent, and thus the effect of any variations in the friction factor is eliminated.</p>
