<p>The invention concerns a bus system comprising subscribers interconnected via a bus, wherein one subscriber is the master (1) and the other subscribers are slaves (2, 3, 4) and the bus system comprises a diagnostic system (5). The invention further concerns a diagnostic method for this type of bus system. The object of the invention is to provide reliable diagnoses enabling differentiated error data with respect to individual subscriber outputs to be obtained without incurring great expenditure on the diagnostic system (5). To that end, only the master (1) comprises a diagnostic system. Current and/or voltage data of at least one output of at least one slave, which output is to be diagnosed, are stored in the diagnostic system (5). On the basis of a program stored in the master the outputs can be diagnosed under conditions which are or can be predetermined.</p> |
