The wire mesh (5) is fixed to the main burner part (1) whose interior defines a mixer compartment (2). The wire mesh and main burner body are joined by at least one sprung C-shaped clamp (7) which runs along a peripheral edge (4) of the main burner body.The main burner body has at least one downward curved attachment (3) and the sprung clamp fits into an upward curved edge (6) of the wire mesh
