PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably recognize the reading of a data mark even if a timing mark cannot precisely be judged due to local deformation. SOLUTION: A timing mark decision part 3 judges the position of the timing mark from image data stored in a picture memory 2 and position data showing the position of the timing mark which is normally processed is held by a position data holding part 4. The timing mark decision part 3 has the error detection function of the judgment processing of the position on the timing mark. When the error is detected, it estimates the position of the timing mark based on former position data held by the position data holding part 4. A data mark judgment part 5 judges the position of the data mark from image data based on position information of the timing mark by the processing result of the timing mark decision part 3. |
