PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reasonably perform the cleaning of a pressurizing member of a thermo-fixing means by prohibiting carrying out printing operation and cleaning paper control again till a predetermined condition is satisfied after the cleaning paper control is carried out. SOLUTION: When the tip of a cleaning pattern paper sheet is inserted into a nip part N of a fixing unit 9, temperature of a heater 30 is adjusted, for example, at 170 deg.C. The toner adhered to a peripheral surface of a pressurizing roller 32 is therefore fused, and a toner image surface is adhered to a toner image pattern part side of a cleaning pattern paper sheet, which is pinched and carried at a low speed, and removed from the peripheral surface of the pressurizing roller 32, and the toner image is transferred to the toner image pattern part side, and the pressurizing roller 32 is cleaned. When a rear end of the cleaning pattern paper sheet passes through the nip part N, electrifying to the heater 30 is turned off, and a driving motor of a device is stopped. Thereafter, a control circuit unit prohibits the carring-out of printing operation and cleaning paper control till the temperature of the heater is lowered to 80 deg.C or lower. |
