The track consists of a number of straight and/or curved flat track plates (1,2). The plates are connected at their ends (9,10) by a positive plug connection (8), and form a smooth surface. An edge groove (5) in the surface extends parallel to a side edge (4,7). An upright stop rail (6) is removably fitted into the groove.The connection is formed as a dovetail joint. This consists of a projection (11) and a congruent aperture (12) next to each other at each plate end. The stop rails consist of flexible plastics strips, which are fixed clamped in the grooves.
