PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent other applications which are executed at the same time from being disturbed by performing control so that an image is displayed large at the start of a communication and automatically reduced in size several seconds later when the object of the image is the face of an opposite person. SOLUTION: To start a real-time communication, current time Tnow is obtained and stored as start time Tstart. Then the size of a display image is set to large size, which is reported to a decoding process part 407. Then a receiving process part 404 receives one packet to acquire the current time Tnow. When the set display image size is large, the display image size is set to small size and reported to the decoding process part 407 if the difference between the acquired current time Tnon and stored start time Tstart is larger than a previously given threshold value. In this manner, an image received from the opposite party is displayed large at the start of the communication, but automatically becomes small several seconds later. |
